St Mary and St Gabriel
Sharing the love of God
The Friends of Harting Church will be holding a summer concert at Elsted Village Hall on Saturday
Their performances typically comprise a range of jazz, classical, country and blues; some delivered as reproductions of original recordings, others as their own unique arrangements. They all play auxiliary instruments and have developed a diverse palette of sonic landscapes that hint at New Orleans, Tea Dances, Paris Cafés, Smokey Nightclubs, Hotel Foyers, Garden Parties and others.
A wonderful evening is promised and so get a party together, bring a picnic and enjoy a lovely summer’s evening with great music. Full details and how to buy tickets will be announced in due course, but if you want to receive details then send an email to: FOHCConcert@gmail.com.
Harting Church, as it has for many hundreds of years, continues to play an important role in the village whether as a place of worship including witness to many marriages and funerals, a location for concerts and other village activities and as the iconic image of the village. FOHCEF seeks to maintain this for many more hundreds of years. So although currently supporting the FOHC campaign, the Trustees will continue to seek to raise awareness about the longer term aims of the FOHCEF and to encourage those, whether living locally or now far away, who have for whatever reason an affection for Harting’s very special church to become a donor or consider leaving a legacy. There are of course attractive benefits of Gift Aid to both the donor and the FOHCEF.For anyone wanting a better understanding of the aims of the two charities (FOHCEF and FOHC) or wish to make a donation or leave a legacy, then please contact one of the FOHCEF trustees whose contact details are listed below.
