Please refer any church matters to the Churchwardens, Hatti and Sarah – click here for the contact page.
Information about services are updated regularly and can be viewed below.
St Mary and St Gabriel (the Parish Church of South Harting, West Harting, East Harting, and Nyewood) is part of the United Benefice of Harting with Elsted and Treyford cum Didling. Services alternate between the different locations, so please check before attending a Service.
We have an active Choir and also a group of bell ringers. Volunteers are always encouraged!
As a Church we try to serve Christ and witness to God's love within the local community. Many of our members are active in local groups and societies - the Village Shop, the Village Minibus, South Harting Youth Club etc. One thing we do not want to be is a holy huddle.
As a 'typical' parish church, we are not 'high church' or 'low church', catholic or evangelical, conservative or liberal. We just aim to be as faithful to God as possible in the setting where we live. You are most welcome to join us on our journey of faith.
Visitors and newcomers are welcome to absolutely everything. Do please feel free to try things out as well to find a home for you. We have welcoming communities in all three of our wonderful church buildings and in all our different services.
We do come together regularly as well to try out new things and remind ourselves of the breadth of our community.

Morning & Evening Prayer
Our Rector, Simon, aims to say Morning Prayer in church every weekday morning at 9.00am and Evening Prayer at 5pm. You are very welcome to join him, particularly if you are keeping an anniversary, or if you would like him to offer prayers for some particular need.
There will be times when he will be unable to be there but will, as far as possible, try to make it a priority
